She says, “We are a family-run mushing Kellen with 36 dogs. We all mush! We train service dogs for our business, Alaska Dog Works.” She ran the 2012 Willow Jr. 100 last year and finished 11th. This will be her first Jr. Iditarod. Nicole is a junior at Houston High School where she participates in softball and Business Professionals of America. She enjoys guitar, piano, dog training (service dogs), and poetry. She owns Wickes Sweets Baking Company. After high school, she plans to go to college to study marine biology.
